I love the Diptyque range, partly because of the super stylish packaging, but mainly because the scents are so different. Tam Dao is really up there in my view of different scents, and it is the perfect layering scent to add extra oomph to a scent to change it, but I could see how this perfume wouldn't be to everyones taste.
So what does it smell like? When you first spray it, the first scent to hit you is the woody scents of cedar and sandalwood, which are very strong and masculine. The fragrance soon settles to a pleasing musky scent which makes it perfect for both men and women.
This is a gorgeously, sexy scent which really can be perfect to turn sweet scents into more grown up night time fragrances. I use Tam Dao with sweet and floral scents I have worn during the day to give them more of an evening twist, I find it goes particularly well with vanilla scents.

Luxe | Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb Perfume Review
Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb has gained almost a cult status over the years since its launch and it is easy to see why. This fragrance is so feminine, it is floral without being overpoweringly so, it is subtle and light but has distinguished scent that people will comment on and remember. It is very versatile in that you could wear it Summer, Winter, Day or Night and it would still be appropriate. Personally, I don't like many floral scents and tend to edge more towards masculine, musky fragrances with hints of tobacco and sandalwood rather than orchid, jasmine and Bergamot. Sometimes though, a super feminine floral frangrance catches me off off guard and I can't help but love it, this is one of them.
I have this scent in a rollerball, which is not a format I usually go for but this was part of a gift set I bought from Sephora last year. That being said, I have found having a rollerball scent really useful for being able to chuck in my bag to use whenever I want a refresh and it doesn't take up much room in your makeup bag when travelling.
I like to layer this with Diptyque Tam Dao (Review here) for more of an evening scent.

Luxe Beauty Life | Sunny Days Sunday
Aaaah give me sunshine! The last couple of weekends have been a glimpse of, hopefully (touch wood, fingers crossed, don't-say-it-out-loud), warmer months to come. In prepation for this warmer weather that (please please please) will be on its way I had a little sundance and started preparing. First thing first, some spring colours on your nails is a great way to get you in the mood and perk you up, I went for Cheeky Chat Me Up Nail Paint in Tongue 'n' Cheek (Click here). Lovely! Then I started on my feet, sandals will be incoming and my feet are not ready to be shown!! So I slathered on some Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream (Click here), it smells delicious, it doesn't leave your feet feeling sticky and warms up nicely whilst you massage it in...walking on a cloud right now! I use an epilator on my legs as I think it gives great results that last longer than shaving, and easier than booking in for a wax, but epilating does come with the down side of ingrown hairs. To combat this I exfoliate regularly and also use SkinDoctors Ingrow Go (Click here) which really helps prevent hair growing underneath the skin by cleaning and purifying pores and exfoliating the skin. The orange lips trend is perfect for a sunny day so I popped on some Revlon Colorburst Laquer Balm in Tease Seductrice. Top it all off with a spritz of Jean Paul Gaultier Summer Edition and now I am ready for some rays! What do you do to get ready for the warmer days?

Beauty | Balenciaga Florabotanica Review
Ok, I admit it...I initially wanted this perfume because I am a gimmick victim and I loved the bottle. It is funky and quirky and a little Alice in Wonderland, but the perfume is pretty good too! It is a strong scent which I tend to wear on weekends rather than to work (in my opinion this verges towards a sexy scent). When it is first sprayed on it is very musky, almost herbally, but given a couple of minutes it settles down to being very wearable and the hints of rose become more prominent...perfect for evenings out.
Beauty | Paul & Joe Hair and Body Mist Review
A while ago I became slightly obsessed with the idea of a hair fragrance. Having long hair I loved the idea of each time my hair moved getting a waft of fragrance, and I also liked the idea of being able to refresh my hair when those unwanted smells latch on to it like grimy cities and smoke can. The benefit of a fragrance specially for your hair is that it isn't as harsh as a standard perfume which can dry out your hair. After searching around I found that at the time there weren't many hair mists out there, so I bought Paul & Joe's offering for around £20. The great thing about this scent is that you can use it as your main perfume too so you don't have to worry about pairing scents together, it is a light floral scent with cute and pretty packaging and bottle. I found it didn't seem to last all day so it did require another spray throughout the day, but it was a lovely scent for the warmer months and I can imagine this would suit all ages. I have even used it to give me clothes a freshen when heading straight out from work!
Beauty | Gandini Orange Blossom and Leaves Colonia Spray Review
I bought this perfume on a whim online as I liked the sound of a citrus based perfume and the brand was well established, Gandini is an Italian brand dating back to 1896. This perfume isn't for the faint hearted! Personally, I quite like it but it is very strong, could almost be considered over powering so use sparingly. I have worn this to work before and can still smell it at the end of a long day so I would say it is long lasting. I have had plenty of compliments when wearing this as it is very unique in smell and is fresh, so a lovely compliment to spring and summer, but with an earthy undertone so it feels like a very grown up scent.
